EXHIBITION AT THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY
^ Exhibition from Tetih to Kırtuluş in the Presidential Complex The exhibition opened in the scope of the Republic Day celebrations starting with the conquest of Istanbul and ending with the proclamation of the Republic includes a wide range of military and ethnographic works. The exhibition, which consists of 150 pieces curated by Nejat Çuhadaroğlu, the owner of Hisart Museum, will be presented to the guests of the acceptance ceremony. Weapons and swords used during the Ottoman period and the military uniforms and weapons worn by Mehmetçi in the War of Independence are also exhibited. Yatagan sword decorated with emeralds and rubies, the sword of Surat Fatah written by Yavuz Sultan Selim, the weapon that looks like a pen of Sultan Abdulhamid II, the childhood sword of Sultan Abdulhamid II, the weapons of Sultan Mahmut II. It has Ahmet's rifle and sailor bed and the longest bed in the world from the 19th century. In the hall, where Ottoman dynasty necklaces, medals and insignia take place, curator Çuhadaroğlu's "diaroma" works are also on display. These include the War of Independence, Kut'ül Amare Victory, the Battle of Ankara between 1st Beyazıt and Timur. Among the exhibited works, the "plane train" diorama, used in the War of Independence, inspired by the original photograph, is striking. Three days before the end of the First World War, 5 British airplanes coming to bomb Istanbul, Pilot Captain Fazıl's struggle with a great hero is also enlivened diorama interesting works.
